University of Miami Parking Deck and Central Plant
A nine story parking deck for 1,300 vehicles, including ground floor space for a 11,700 ton central refrigeration plant and 8.4 MW emergency power plant with expansion capabilities to 19,500 tons and 14 MW. The plant is designed to serve the Miller School of Medicine. Because of the critical nature of the utilities, the major system components and structure are designed to sustain a Category 5 hurricane.
