Building Smarter Futures: How Our Team is Influencing LEED v5
At Newcomb & Boyd, our Sustainability Studio staff are recognized experts who not only help clients achieve their goals every day, but also advance sustainability across the industry.
Leveraging their deep technical expertise and real-world project experience, Eunice Perez and Carly Ruggieri were selected to support the development of the next generation of LEED v5 exams. As active volunteers with GBCI’s credentialing department, they are helping shape the blueprints for future LEED v5 Green Associate and Accredited Professional exams, reinforcing our role as a trusted, forward-thinking partner in sustainability.

Carly Ruggieri, LEED AP ND and BD+C
“Focusing on LEED v5 exam content is a wonderful opportunity for me to connect with other industry professionals, gain a deeper understanding of the new rating system priorities, and hear current market feedback. This translates directly into the guidance and perspective I can bring to clients with all levels of sustainability experience and goals.”
Eunice Perez, LEED AP, BD+C, O+M, ID+C, SITES AP
“Participating as a volunteer in the development of the LEED v5 exams is a valuable opportunity to contribute insights from diverse project experiences and support the next generation of LEED APs in preparing for meaningful project work. As LEED v5 introduces new priorities and strategies, it also allows me to engage with peers across the industry, learn from their challenges, and broaden my own understanding to inform future projects.”
