Russell joins Newcomb & Boyd as a Commissioning Engineer. Russell became interested in Newcomb & Boyd at the recommendation of a friend who also works here. He is originally from Irmo, South Carolina, and now lives in Atlanta, Georgia.

Russell’s favorite show is Star Trek: Deep Space 9 and his favorite book is Catch 22. Currently, he is reading a book about the Glen Canyon Dam and a rafting speed record, called The Emerald Mile. An activity he would be interested in if time and money weren’t a factor is getting his pilot’s license.

The farthest he’s ever been from home is Helena, Montana. Russell’s favorite trip was when he went hiking around Southern Utah with a friend and he saw some of the prettiest landscapes he’s ever seen. Going on a road trip along the coast of Maine is his ideal vacation.

Russell’s first job was as a farmhand in Shelburne, Massachusetts on a maple farm. He says he is passionate about the outdoors, and it is a huge part of his life.
