Richard Farmer joins Newcomb & Boyd’s Consulting Engineering Group as a Senior Controls Engineer. He attended Carson Newman College in Jefferson City, TN.

Richard’s hometown is Austin, TX and he currently lives in Marble Hill, GA with his wife, Tess, and their 16-month-old Dachsund, Whiskey.

His hobbies include hunting and fishing. If time and money weren’t an issue, Richard would pursue flying jets in his free time.

Richard’s first job was working as a Munitions Specialist in the United States Air Force, where he worked on everything from bullets to nuclear bombs. He served for 10 years with duty stations in West Germany, Louisiana, the Philippines, and Texas. While in the Philippines, Richard was able to visit many cities, but had to leave the country after Mount Pinatubo erupted and destroyed the military base in 1991.

Prior to Newcomb & Boyd, Richard worked in operations, controls, and project management in various states such as, WA, NV, NC, TX, and CO.
