Kirsten Barringer-Cook joins Newcomb & Boyd’s Special Technologies Group as an Acoustical Consultant. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech in August of 2012.

Kirsten is originally from Kennesaw, GA and currently lives in Smyrna with her wife, Lisa, and their two Boxer dogs, Books and Yoki, and American Shorthair cat, Rio.

Her hobbies include crafts and spending time with her wife and puppies. Kirsten is also passionate about singing, specifically classical music. In fact, her first job was a middle/high school chorus teacher. She also minored in Music – Vocal Performance in college. She sings in a local church as a staff singer and does audio mixing for weddings at another church. If time and money weren’t an issue, her hobby would be playing the harp.

The furthest place Kirsten’s been from home is Scotland and her favorite trips were to Jekyll Island, GA and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in FL. Her ideal vacation would be anywhere she can bring her wife and dogs.
