Get to know one of our talented engineers in our Atlanta Office! Amanda has 5 years of experience in the design of plumbing systems. Her experience includes over 30 projects for new and renovated facilities, including health care, k-12, corporate, and higher education facilities.

Amanda is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree. She is Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) by the American Society of Plumbing Engineers.

What have you gained from working at Newcomb & Boyd? 

I continue to receive exposure to a variety of projects, each having their own unique design challenges. These opportunities help me to become a better engineer.

What is your favorite part about working for Newcomb & Boyd?

My favorite part of working here is the relationships I have gained. There are a lot of great people at Newcomb & Boyd.

I like supernatural, science fiction, fantasy and/or humor themed podcasts. I have two favorites right now: “Tanis” and “Hellow, from the Magic Tavern”. If you choose to listen, don’t judge me. I am a goofy nerd at heart!

What would people be surprised to know about you?

I have a twin sister, Angela.

If you could be a superhero, what would you want your superpowers to be?

I would love to have super strength. Moving would be a breeze.
