The U.A. Whitaker Biomedical Engineering Building includes BSL-2 laboratories; education and administrative facilities; and interactive, collaborative, and building support spaces. Sustainable features incorporated into the building include occupancy sensors for lighting, low flow plumbing fixtures, and variable flow air and water systems. The facility houses essential research and instructional facilities for faculty and students from the College of Engineering who are focused on the advancement of biomedical engineering.
