Douglas County Courthouse

A four story, eight courtroom facility housing judicial space, a twenty-three cell prisoner holding area, administrative offices, a fifty seat cafeteria, a 260 seat commission chamber, and a 600 car parking area.

Acoustics
Acoustical provisions include speech intelligibility; sound isolation of courtrooms, jury suites, and public areas from other areas; speech privacy and sound isolation of judges chambers; and sound isolation of secure areas.

Audio-Visual
Paging and audio-visual systems include data and video projection presentation. The commission chamber has a permanent ceiling-mounted projection system, while the courtrooms and grand jury rooms share portable projectors running from a permanent infrastructure. Systems also include remote audio monitoring, ADA hearing impaired system, infrastructure for future broadcast capability in courtrooms, and distribution of audio-visual signals from the commission chamber throughout ancillary spaces. Also, infrastructure was provided for future telejustice and broadcast systems.

Communications
Communications systems include voice data and video distribution systems, cable entrance facilities and protection, the main communications room, intermediate distribution rooms, a raised floor computer room, pathways and cable support infrastructure, and fiber optic and copper structured cabling systems.
