Carolinas Medical Center Levine Children’s Hospital

Located on the Carolinas Medical Center campus, the 230 bed Levine Children’s Hospital houses 185 licensed acute care beds including pediatric intensive care beds, neonatal intensive care nursery beds, and neonatal progressive care nursery beds; as well as thirteen licensed pediatric rehabilitation beds, twenty day hospital beds, and twelve observation beds. The facility also includes multiple connections to the existing hospital.

This project was named among the Southeast’s Top Projects, #34, by Southeast Construction magazine in 2006 and received an Award of Merit: Health Care from the publication in 2007. It was also a finalist in the 2008 Architectural Showcase: Children’s Hospital category in Healthcare Design magazine.
